IZULU ORPHAN PROJECT

Izulu Orphan Project is a non profit organization which support orphans and children of HIV positive widows. Founded in 2006 by Chadd, Kate and Shelley Bain, the organization was created to serve thousands of orphans residing in Zululand. Their aim is to school, feed and clothe as many orphan kids as possible and to impact the local community through education, health awareness and job creation.

This past Saturday they had a Christmas party for the orphans and I decided to volunteer to help out at the party.

3000 kids at the party attended.

This is so unfair..notice how Phili is not sweating and meanwhile I'm sweating like a pig? Gosh wish someone could have warned me about the unbelievable heat....

Did a bit of face painting as well.....

We had to prepare 7000 hotdogs for the food packs...Talk about  job well done....

Decide to take a walk around the village and landed at this Spaza Shop....very old school and interesting...
Phili contemplating on wether to take over Phumi's assigned duty or stick to the hotdogs and party packs duty....Lets just say admin was written all over Phumi's forehead...I don't think I could have managed...plus the heat chowed most of my brain cells....So we decided to stick to being bouncers and handing out packs...Well done Phumi you handled your task very well...
